Letting out feelings through poetry (explanation) | alwaysfightingmyemotions's Blog

Ilovewriting poems and I have written quitealotof them. I find writing apoem is agreat way to get out feelings ora nice present for someone; it is also agood way to use imagination. Some people don't likewriting poems becausethey can't get it to make sense or rhyme, but let me tell those people, poems don'thaveto rhyme... ormake sense!

When I said it is agood way to get feelings out, I mean it. Ifyou're the type of person who doesn'tlike sharing theirfeelings with anyone but you want to let your feelings out, write apoem about it. Writing poems, I find, is anice, calm, relaxing activity, though some people may find it frustrating to do. Atfirst it can beannoying and hard but after awhilewriting poems becomes pretty easy.

Mostof my poems, if not all, rhymeand to be honest Idon'tknow why. When I write apoem I just seem to makeitrhymeas it comes naturally to me. I always writepoems, whether it's about howI feel, forsomeone on a special occasion or just for someonewho wants one. Thepoem below is something I comeup with before when I felt really sad and was crying; it was slightly annoying, as I hate people seeing me cry.

Ihate it when peoplesee me cry, That's why when they ask I deny. But it's hard now with tears running down my face, Wish I was in a totally differentplace. This room could beas full as it can be, But it would still feel like theonly person in it is me.

The next poem is when I really liked someone and didn't want to tell anyone...

Ithink you'recute, I think you'reamazing, When Isee you I can't help but stand theregazing. Iwantyou by my side, But I stay away and hide. Iwantto say how much Ilikeyou, But too scared in caseyou don't likemetoo.

This last poem is oneI wrotewhen I was younger for my dad (he keeps them all!) and it was for his birthday.

Ifound yourwisdom, your couragetoo, And I know Ican rely on you. Whatthey say is true, that your dad is your best mate, Nevertheless, you'd nothesitate. Eversincemy lifebegan, Iknew that you aretheone! To let meknow when I'd been bad, It must have been hard, butthat's being a dad. You'restrong and smart and filled with love, You'rea giftfor me from up above. So here's a greeting from you biggest fan, Happy Birthday Dad, because you're theman!

Ihope you enjoyed reading my article. If you haveany questions or want any adviceon writing poems just ask, using thecomments section below.
